'Everyone's life can be enriched by playing music!' - Zou Zou
I believe that the process of learning how to play an instrument has an invaluable impact on a person's development and life experience, no matter when they start. As a teacher, I work with each student to build their technique so that they can confidently express themselves on the instrument. Additionally, I help each student establish a practice plan to optimize the skills they have learned in the lessons and integrate music-making into their day-to-day lives. My philosophy is that everyone's life can be enriched by playing music. My approach is to listen to my students, learn about their musical goals and assist them in achieving those goals.
I have a B.M. in Cello Performance from the University of Wisconsin- Madison, where I studied with Uri Vardi and Parry Karp. Following my bachelor's degree, I served as the cellist for the Nightingale String Quartet at the University of Nevada, Reno, where I also trained as a student of the Orchestral Career Studies program.
