'I constantly aspire to communicate, patience and a love of music. It is key that students learn and understand through doing.' - Louise

Teaching Philosophy

Regardless of the student's age, the most important element of a music lesson is the joy we have in sharing music. Music is after all, about playing! I teach through experiential learning so that students learn and understand through doing, striving to help my students build the skills they need to play the music they love. I have a studio of clarinettists of all ages and abilities, and enjoy them all, from age 8 to age 98. I adapt to each students' interests and enthusiasm, bringing in music of a wide variety of genres to inspire students to play to the best of their ability.
